Founded in 2010, we have rebranded and expanded into what we now know and love as La Luz Weddings & Events. During our 25+ years of combined experience, La Luz has had the honor of planning and coordinating events throughout the United States and abroad- can you say destination wedding in Belize?! We pride ourselves on building personal relationships with vendors, guests, wedding parties, and most importantly our treasured clients to provide effortless coordination for everyone!

Your wedding day (or quinceñera, baby shower, bat mitzvah, company holiday party, AGM, or any celebration) should be incredibly enjoyable for your guests and magically unforgettable for you. We can make that happen by turning your event dreams into reality. No dream is too far out of reach for La Luz! meet your full-time planners (the “boss babes”)
Hi there! I’m Shelby Wolfe, founder of La Luz. As a certified international wedding and event planner, I have over 10 years of private and corporate experience and my past clients attribute the success of their weddings and events to my personable, enthusiastic, organized, detail-oriented, and creative skill sets. (Be sure to read their testimonies here and five-star reviews on Google, The Knot & Wedding Wire!) Consults bring us together as strangers, but by the time the big day comes, a beautiful and natural relationship has grown throughout the planning process. Thank goodness, or else you’d probably be really weirded out when you receive my family’s annual goofy Christmas card.

When I’m not creating wedding and event magic, you can find me having a PJ dance party with my four littles (7, 6, 4.5, & 3 year olds) and hubby in our living room. I cry during vets-coming-home videos, laugh during fragrance commercials, and hide under a blanket during scary movies- JK. I. DO. NOT. watch scary movies. Zumba is my exercise- well, that and taking care of four bambinos. I love dry wines, margaritas (rocks, no salt, please), and my creamer with a little bit of coffee. Let me buy YOU a drink so that I can get to know all about you and your wedding or special event dreams!
Hellooo, I’m Courtney Graham! Honesty is one of my key values. With that in mind, I’ll let you know up front that the most important part about choosing your wedding and event planner is their personality. So why would you choose me?

I love to be relaxed, friendly, and, at times, sarcastic with my clients. If we are chatting via email or text, please be aware, I like to break professional decorum and send an emoji or GIF. This helps us create a fun working relationship and allows you to feel comfortable asking me anything. By the time that we get to your wedding day, I want our relationship to be easy. After all, I may have to climb underneath your dress to help with the bustle!

I have been in the wedding industry for 10+ years learning the ropes in a variety of positions from sales manager to venue director. This wide knowledge base gives me foresight in the event planning process helping to alleviate any potential stressors along the way.

Outside of weddings, I’m a mom of two very smiley kiddos (3.5 and 1.5 years old), two doggos, and am married to the love of my life. Believe it or not, we are high school sweethearts and even “dated” in middle school. We love to go on hikes, play at the lake, and generally enjoy all things outdoors!

meet your Associate Lead Coordinators
Virginia is a bright and extremely talented (ask her to sing or play one of the 3 instruments she plays) event assistant. She is a creative soul with a keen eye for detail. This mama of 2 is a goofball who can brighten any mood and knows just when and how to get down to business.
She has 6+ years in weddings and events with our La Luz team and her experience is evident from the moment you get to chat with her as your Associate Lead Coordinator. She knows the do’s and don’t of our procedures like the back of her hand and will have you and your guests at ease all day with her management style. Having Virginia on our La Luz team makes each event unique & memorable.

Every team needs a resident florist, right? That’s our Celina! She is a master gardener and was likely a professional stand up comedian in her past life. When she’s not with her hubby and two high schoolers, working in her garden or making your event dreams come true, she’s probably on her never-ending quest to find the best tacos and nachos in NM! (So far, Turtle Mountain wins for nachos and Rio Tacos wins for tacos!!)
You have won the lottery having Celina as your Associate Lead Coordinator! With two (and counting) wedding seasons on the La Luz team, she helped us to make the very easy decision to promote her to Associate Lead Coordinator. She has years of experience in running restaurants, which she has found a way to easily translate to weddings and events. With Celina, you’re in great hands!

meet your assistants
You may recognize our Lindsay from the wedding circuit. She has a wealth of wedding industry knowledge and has a stacked Rolodex of vendor relationships that come in very handy at events. Her eye for detail is showcased in the fact that she is a three time award winning published photographer. If you are a cheesehead (Go Greenbay!), love dogs as though they are children, and/or celebrate the holiday season starting on November 1st, Lindsay is your gal! She’s a hard working rockstar that you will be happy to have on your event team!
Tabatha, oh Tabatha! If anyone is dedicated, it’s this girl right here and you’re lucky she’s on your team! As a true artist and amazing vocalist that she is, she embodies the idea that no matter the hiccup, “the show must go on” (even if her car got totaled on her way to your wedding!)! She will go above and beyond for you, anticipating your needs before you even realize them.
